Mummy Dog Ingredients:
To make the mummy dogs, you will need the following:
- Canned crescent dough sheets – if you get the rolls, press the seams together to create a solid sheet
- Hot dogs – we used Nathan’s. They are long and skinny. You can use any hot dogs you prefer.
- Wilton candy eyes
- Ready-cooked bacon – you can also cook your own until done but still soft.

Mummy Dogs Instructions
Roll out that crescent roll dough on a parchment-lined cookie sheet like an ancient scroll. Use a knife or a pizza cutter to make the sheet into strips. You will need two strips for each hot dog. We got 22 strips out of 1 sheet.
Wrap a slice of bacon around each hot dog.
Wrap 1 strip of dough around each hot dog. Then, wrap a 2nd strip around the hot dog in a diagonal direction. Make it a little messy so it looks like a mummy unwrapping.
Spray the air fryer tray with cooking spray and lay each hot dog on the tray. Cook for 10 minutes, allowing enough time for the bacon to get crisp and the dough to cook properly.
When hot dogs are cooked, leave them to cool off in the air fryer or remove them from the air fryer and place on a rack to cool a bit. Add two candy eyes to each hot dog, carefully tucking them under and around the crescent roll dough.
Serve with ketchup, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.
