Cut out the ornaments.
Next, carefully cut out your chosen bauble design with a trusty pair of scissors. Cut along the outer edges making sure to cut along the tabs carefully. Get the kids involved, too; it’s a fabulous way to hone those motor skills.
Fold the ornaments
This is where the magic starts. See those black lines and tabs? They’re your guides!
Neatly fold along each blue tab and dark solid black line. Make sure to get every single one to make folding easier.
Form the baubles and secure the tabs
Glue or tape a piece of string or twine right at the top of tab 1 in the center of the ornament.
Then, start folding the baubles. Pick a set of tabs and fold them into the inside where they naturally want to go.
Keep folding down all the tabs. Use glue, tape, or even nifty glue dots as you go to adhere the tabs to make your 3D ornament.
Piece by piece, your bauble will come alive!
It gets a little tricky towards the end as the sphere closes up. Add glue to the last two tabs, number 3s, and then tuck them in.
