The entire family will love this easy pizza dip with cream cheese and pepperoni recipe. Made with cream cheese, mozzarella cheese, pizza sauce, and toppings. Use bread sticks, garlic bread, crackers or your favorite dipper and enjoy this yummy pizza dip.
I can’t be the only mom who loves dips. When my kids were little I could make anything into a dip and they’d pretty eat it. Veggies and dip were always a lifesaver. This pizza dip is another family favorite. The cream cheese sounds questionable, but it adds a nice richness to make this a good hearty dip. Plus everyone loves pizza – even as a dip.
You probably have everything on hand that you need to whip up this dip. And this is also a great recipe to teach your tweens or teens how to make. Keep all this on hand and they have something they can make to snack on or when they have friends over.
For the pepperoni, you can use regular pepperoni in a bag, get fresh from the deli, or grab a bag of mini pepperoni. Those are really fun to use.
Pizza Dip with Cream Cheese and Pepperoni
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Spread the cream cheese on the bottom of a shallow baking pan. You can use a cake pan or casserole dish. Whatever you have on hand. It doesn’t have to be spread perfectly. It’ll melt as it heats up.
Next, top the cream cheese with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese. You can also add Parmesan or Romano cheese to add a little flavor. A pizza cheese mix works too. You can also add some cheddar just for some interest.
Carefully spread the pizza sauce or marinara sauce to evenly cover the mozzarella cheese. If you don’t keep pizza sauce around can use a can of tomato sauce. Just add some oregano, basil and garlic to it. Or use some marinara sauce for spaghetti. They all work great.
Next layer with pepperoni slices on top of the pizza sauce. You can use regular pepperoni slices but the little mini ones are really fun in this dip.
Finally top the pepperoni with the other cup of mozzarella cheese. Add another layer of pepperoni slices on top of the cheese. Sprinkle the top with Italian seasoning.
Bake for 25 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Serve warm with slices baguettes; bread sticks, or garlic bread.
