Kick up your next iced mocha recipe with dark rum, chocolate liqueur and brownie fudge ice cream!
Is there anything better than a chocolate cocktail? Like our delicious Peppermint Chocolate Martini Recipe or Dark Chocolate Irish Pumpkin Cocktail Recipe. We might have a thing for chocolate cocktails!
But chocolate and ice cream? Divine! I was first introduced to ice cream drinks by a roommate’s dad in college. He was the master of a mudslide. He’d make us a blender full at a time. Those were the days.
Sometimes, though, (ok, all the time) I want a super easy ice cream cocktail that doesn’t require a blender. Thus the Double Chocolate Tipsy Iced Mocha Recipe. Double the chocolate and no blender required.
The double chocolate mocha (see what I did there?) comes from the use of both chocolate liqueur and chocolate ice cream. Or in this case, non-dairy frozen dessert. It gives the drink a little less creaminess.
These guys are small in size but pack a nice chocolate punch. They were made in cordial glasses, which makes them small but mighty! They are super rich so just a little bit goes a long way.
Have I mentioned how quick and easy these are to make? Start with the dark rum on the bottom of a cordial glass.
Next, add in the chocolate liqueur. Godiva chocolate liqueur is top notch, but any will do.
Next comes the non-ice cream, ice cream. And honestly, you could just stop right there and call it good. But why?
Top it all with homemade whipped cream and chopped pistachios. We’re a little pistachio crazy over here right now. Plus I like the crunchy nuttiness the pistachios add to all that chocolate. But you can skip them or use another nut.
Serve the iced mochas with a spoon until the non-ice cream ice cream melts a bit. Then you can mix it all together and sip away.
