Turkey sloppy joes lettuce wraps made with Hunt’s Manwich sauce are a great way to enjoy your favorite sloppy joes lightened up!
It’s a new year and like many people, I’m trying to lead a healthier lifestyle. My husband and I have made some significant changes to our diet since January started and I’m feeling great! One thing we’ve change about our diet is to limit our intake of bread and pasta. I won’t lie – it’s not been easy. We both particularly miss sandwiches and I misse the ease of making sandwiches.
So when Manwich asked me to try out their sauces, I knew I had to find a lighter, bread free, way to enjoy my beloved sloppy joe! One thing we’ve discovered is that many sandwiches can be eaten on lettuce as wraps. I also decided to lighten up the meat and cook the sloppy joes with ground turkey instead of ground beef. Manwich sent us three Manwich flavors to try -Original, Bold, and Thick & Chunky. I used the Thick & Chunky flavor for the lettuce wraps.
The turkey sloppy joe lettuce wraps were delicious! And they didn’t even lose the “sloppy” part! There was plenty of scooping and eating of the meat from plates – as it should be. The best part was how easy this meal was to put together. All I had to do was brown the meat and add in our favorite Hunt’s Manwich sauce to heat. Then I just served the meat on butter lettuce. Quick and easy!
Turkey Sloppy Joes Lettuce Wraps

I love a tasty lettuce wrap. Looks so delicious!
Kuddos to you for choosing to live healthier, when I hear this it makes me smile! I love lettuce wraps and if you really miss the pasta switch to gluten free and treat yourself once a week for doing awesome! The thing with wheat it drains your energy and it’s just hard to digest. I thought I would miss bread when I said good bye – but like you found the lettuce wraps a great option. Will have to give this one a try.
Hello!
Do I season the ground turkey while cooking it?
Nope no need to season. The Manwich will provide the flavor for you after it’s cooked.
