Pink hot chocolate is made with a white hot chocolate mix plus red melting wafers. Add marshmallows for a sweet Valentine’s Day treat.

If you happened to make our Melted Snowman Hot Chocolate Gift Jars as Christmas gifts then you may have some white hot chocolate mix leftover. The hot cocoa mix will keep for a while but it can also be used to make a pretty pink hot cocoa for Valentine’s Day.
The last few years we have ordered a bit extra of the white cocoa mix just to make sure we have some leftover to make pink cocoa. Our favorite white chocolate hot cocoa is Stephen’s Gourmet.

Valentine’s Hot Chocolate Bombs
Making pink cocoa is easy. Simply mix up a mug of hot cocoa according to the directions on the white cocoa mix. Use milk if you can as it will hold the pink color better. It’s especially fun to make the cocoa in a clear mug so you can see the pretty color.
Make sure the cocoa is hot. Then add a handful of red candy melts. Start with a few and keep adding until the hot cocoa reaches the color of pink you like. Stir the cocoa after you add a few wafers to help them melt completely.
Add marshmallows and serve with some homemade truffles .
