This past January I started on a mission to eat healthier and get more exercise.  I've been fairly successful having dropped an entire clothing size! It took some work to change our eating style and learning to buy different foods than I was used was hard at first.  One food in particular that I know keep on hand at all times are Hass avocados.

Hass avocados are full of good fats, fiber, potassium and iron.  They also are sodium and cholesterol free and contain less than one 1 gram of sugar in an entire Hass avocado!  Check out this video for some more fun information on Hass Avocados:

I love avocado and we eat them at least a few times each week, but I'm pretty unimaginative when it comes to anything other than guacamole or just slicing them up and eating them.  I know you can cook with avocados in everything from desserts to smoothies and I went looking for some creative ideas to get me (and you!) inspired to eat more avocado.

Thank you for this! I am obsessed with avocado and this just reinforced my existing love for them as a healthy and regular part of my diet.

Luckily I live in Los Angeles so I have easy access to organic, healthy and non-GMO food options.

I also recently blogged about a great option for people who don’t have easy access to organic/non-GMO foods in their local grocery stores. Please do check it out and let me know what you think??
