Mix together yeast with sugar, warm milk, and 3 tablespoons of flour in a bowl. Let sit for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, add the egg, salt, remaining flour, and melted butter.
Once the dough has risen, pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Take the dough out of the bowl and place it on a baking mat or parchment paper.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle on the mat or parchment paper.
Knead the dough, and add a little flour as needed if the dough seems too liquidy. If the dough is sticky, you can put some oil on your hands.
Leave the dough to rise in a warm place for 40 minutes, and cover with a towel.
Mix together half the butter and the crushed garlic. Brush the dough with half the melted butter mixed with the crushed garlic.
Sprinkle the dough rectangle liberally with half the grated mozzarella. Evenly spread the ham slices on top of the cheese.
Layer the salami and pepperoni on top of the ham. Sprinkle with the other half of the mozzarella.
Roll the dough on the long sides into a roll. There will be dough in the middle. Pinch the ends and the back closed. Make sure the stromboli is seam side down.
In a small bowl, mix together the other half of the melted butter with Parmesan and herbs.
Use a sharp knife to cut slits diagonally across the top of the dough. Brush the butter herb mixture liberally over the stromboli.
Move the stromboli on the baking mat or parchment paper onto the baking sheet or baking pan. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
