Your Instant Pot is probably one of the most versatile appliances in your kitchen. With this peach ginger tea recipe, you can use your Instant Pot to make iced tea all summer long! This Instant Pot ice tea recipe infuses fresh peach and ginger into the tea. You could use other fruits to make different flavors of iced tea.
Peach Ginger Iced Tea Ingredients:
- Water
- Black tea bags, paper tags removed
- Fresh peaches, pitted and cut into chunks
- Fresh ginger, finely minced
- Honey or other sweeteners
- Fresh mint sprigs (optional)
Peach Ginger Instant Pot Iced Tea Directions:
Making iced tea in the Instant Pot is super easy! Add the water, tea bags, peaches, and fresh ginger to the Instant Pot and stir to combine.
Close the lid and lock it into place. Set the vent to “Sealing”. It should be in the middle, and not on the side.
Set the Instant Pot to “Manual” setting on normal for 5 minutes (not 3 like the photo).
When finished, allow pressure to release naturally (NR) for 10-15 minutes. You just let the Instant Pot sit for that long and the pressure will release a little on its own. After 10-15 minutes, use a wooden spoon to turn the seal on the lid so it points to either side. This is called a quick release or QR. Allow the rest of the steam to release that way.
Once the pressure has fully released, carefully remove the top. There can still be steam so open the top away from you.
Carefully strain the hot tea mixture with a fine-mesh strainer to remove the solids. You can use a soup ladle to do this, a strainer with a handle, or pour the liquid through a strainer and into another bowl or the pitcher.
Once the tea has been strained, pour the remaining liquid into a large, heat-resistant pitcher. You will want to remove the tea bags as soon as the pressure has been fully released to prevent bitterness. If you prefer stronger tea and want to leave the bags in longer, add a pinch of baking soda prior to brewing.
Sweeten with honey or another sweetener while the tea is hot, taste, and stir to combine. Cool before serving over ice with peach slices and sprigs of fresh mint, if desired.
Instant Pot Peach and Ginger Iced Tea
Ingredients
- 8 cups of water
- 6 black tea bags paper tags removed
- 4 fresh peaches pitted and cut into chunks
- 1 Tablespoon fresh ginger finely minced
- Honey to taste

- 1 peach cut into thin slices
- Fresh mint leaves
Instructions
- Add water, tea bags, peaches, and fresh ginger to Instant Pot and stir to combine.
- Add lid and lock into place. Switch the vent to “Sealing” and set the “Manual” setting on normal for 5 minutes.
- When finished, allow pressure to release naturally (NR) for 10-15 minutes, then do a quick release (QR) to allow the remaining pressure to escape.
- Carefully strain the hot tea mixture with a fine-mesh strainer to remove the solids. Pour the remaining liquid into a large, heat-resistant pitcher.
- Sweeten with honey, to taste, and stir to combine. Cool before serving over ice with peach slices and sprigs of fresh mint, if desired. Enjoy!
