Stay cool this summer at Cowabunga Bay Las Vegas! From the Colorado Cooler Lazy River to the Royal Flush Extreme water slide, your family will find fun in the desert at Cowabunga Canyon.
Living in Las Vegas during the summer is pretty much like living in a hot oven. But as most locals know, the hot weather can be beat with sunscreen, shade, and swimming! One of my family’s favorite places to go in the summer to beat the heat is Cowabunga Bay, formerly known as Wet N Wild Las Vegas. We’ve been season pass holders for the last several years. Cowabunga Canyon has become part of our family’s summer traditions.
What to do at Cowabunga Canyon Las Vegas
Fun Attractions for All Ages
No matter how old your family is, they will find something to do at Cowabunga Canyon. When we first started going to Cowabunga Canyon, our kids were under 4 feet tall so they could not go on the “big” rides. But that wasn’t a problem. We spent our days at Paradise Falls and Kiddie Cove, in Red Rock Bay, the wave pool, or floating down Colorado Cooler, the lazy river.
Now that our kids are older, they enjoy the bigger rides like the Royal Flush Extreme and the Desert Racers. Meanwhile, us parents still hang out at the wave pool and the lazy river.
Fun Weekly Events
Cowabunga Canyon is great any day, but the park also offers some fun weekly and monthly events. You can check out the Dive-In Movies on weekends. These are a lot of fun and extremely popular. You hang out in the wave pool or around it and watch a family-friendly movie. It’s a great way to stay cool on a hot summer night.
Cowanbunga Canyon Las Vegas sponsors other theme nights, storytimes and fun weekend events.
Rent A Cabana
One of our favorite ways to enjoy a day at the waterpark is to rent a cabana. Cabanas are available in a few different areas in the park. They come with chairs, a table, and lots of shade. You also get a server who will take your food and beverage order and bring it right to your cabana.
