Paper Carrot Garland

Create a carrot garland for spring and Easter using construction and tissue paper and yarn.

Equipment

  • Scissors

Materials

  • Orange construction paper
  • Green crepe or tissue paper
  • Yarn
  • Clear tape

Instructions

  • Cut the orange construction paper into rectangles. 
  • Fold the orange rectangles accordion style on the long side of the rectangle.
  • Fold the accordion in half.
  • Use clear tape to attach the ends of the paper accordion.
  • Cut or gently tear the green tissue paper into rectangles to make the carrot’s leaves.
  • Fold the rectangle and bunch it together. Tape it to the back of the carrot.
  • Cut 1 short piece of yarn for each carrot. Tape one piece of yarn to the back of each carrot.
  • Cut a piece of yarn the length you want your garland to be.
  • Tie or tape the carrots to the yarn to complete the carrot garland.
