Lay four popsicle sticks side by side on your work surface.

Use scissors to cut one popsicle stick in half. Glue half of the cut popsicle stick to the top of the 4 sticks. Glue the other half of the cut stick to the bottom.

Paint the sticks gray on both front and back. Set aside to dry.

Download, print and cut out the owl templates.

Use the templates to trace and cut out 2 large black circles, 2 small yellow circles, and 1 black beak/triangle.

To make the owl’s wings, use the outer part of the paper plate to give a wing effect.

Glue the yellow circles slightly off the center of the black circles to create the owl’s eyes.

Glue the eyes and beak to the front of the popsicle stick body. You can overlap them. Make sure it is completely dry.

Next glue the googly eyes to the center of the yellow circles. Glue the wings to the back of the body.

Use a pen to finish your owl by drawing small curves or feather-like drawings.
