Use popsicle sticks to make an adorable popsicle stick owl craft. Paint the popsicle sticks with craft paint and add paper eyes and a beak. Finish the owl off with paper plate wings. Use a pen to draw feathers as a finishing touch.
Popsicle stick crafts are such a fun way to keep kids entertained. We have created an entire set of popsicle craft animals you can make: a fox, a walrus, and a polar bear. And they all are so cute! Each animal is created using four popsicle sticks to make the body.
These would be great crafts to make with a group of kids. You could put the bodies together, cut out all the pieces and let the kids put them together.

Popsicle Stick Owl Craft Instructions
Assemble the owl’s body. Lay four popsicle sticks side by side on a flat workspace.
Next, you will attach the 4 popsicle sticks together to create the body of the owl. Use scissors to cut one popsicle stick in half. Glue half of the cut popsicle stick to the top of the 4 sticks. Glue the other half of the cut stick to the bottom.
Paint the Owl Body
Use the craft paint and paintbrush to paint the popsicle sticks gray. If you don’t have gray paint, you can mix black and white paint to make it gray. You can balance the colors of how gray or dark you want them to be. Make sure the paint has dried before putting in the additional designs/parts.
Attach owl wings, eyes, and beak
Print and cut out the owl’s wings, eyes, and beak from the template. These will be your patterns.
Cut out 2 large black circles, 2 small yellow circles, and 1 black beak/triangle.
To make the owl’s wings, use the outer part of the paper plate to give a wing effect.
Glue the yellow circles slightly off the center of the black circles to create the owl’s eyes.
Glue the eyes and beak to the front of the popsicle stick body. You can overlap them. Make sure it is completely dry.
Next glue the googly eyes to the center of the yellow circles. Glue the wings to the back of the body.
Use a pen to finish your owl by drawing small curves or feather-like drawings.
Your popsicle stick owl is ready to join his popsicle stick fox, popsicle stick walrus, and popsicle stick polar bear friends!
