Rosemary Lavender Soap

Equipment

  • Soap mold

Materials

  • 1/2 lb. goat’s milk soap base
  • 2 tablespoons dried rosemary
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender
  • 10 drops rosemary essential oil
  • 10 drops of lavender essential oil
  • Soap coloring optional
  • Spritz bottle filled with rubbing alcohol

Instructions

  • Chop lavender and rosemary into fine pieces. 
  • Sprinkle a small amount of the rosemary and lavender into the bottom of each soap mold.
  • Cut the goat’s milk soap base and place it into a microwave-safe bowl or a small pan for melting.
  • Melt the soap in a microwave or on a stovetop.
  • Allow the melted soap to cool then add rosemary and lavender essential oil to the bowl.
  • Add coloring to the soap mixture if you want to color it.
  • Using a spoon, mix everything.
  • Spray the bottom of the mold with rubbing alcohol.
  • Add the remaining rosemary and lavender to the bowl. Gently pour the soap mixture into soap molds.
  • Spray the top of the soap with rubbing alcohol. Allow the soap to harden for at least an hour. Gently pop out and store in an airtight container until ready to use.
