Writing prompts for kids will help your kids get ready for the new school year! Add in a few pens and pencils from our sponsor, BIC, for more creative fun.
One of the things I love most about my kids school is that they take handwriting seriously. They learn to read by writing and they learn to write by reading. It’s all done fluidly and simultaneously.
Research shows that handwriting promotes critical thinking, reading comprehension, fine motor skills development, creativity and even self-confidence so writing is super important for kids.
It has been a long summer, however, of not much writing. With school starting next week, I thought I’d help get the kids back in to shape for school with some fun writing prompts.
My kids actually love to write. A notebook or journal is one of their favorite gifts to receive. Add in a few colorful pens and pencils, and they are set for creative play for hours.
The kids loved all these colorful BIC products. The BIC XTRA-Fun #2 Pencils with Stripes were the favorite choice for my 2nd and 4th grader.
Colored pens are a required school supply for both my kids. The BIC 4 Color Pen got an upgrade this year. The top can be used as a stylus! It’s perfect for my daughter’s Latin and Greek class, which requires blue, black and green pens.
To help the kids start getting ready for school, I let them open the BIC products and test them out on some fun writing prompts.
