It’s that time of year when everyone is asking us what we want for ourselves as gifts. I used to be able to rattle off a whole list of “stuff” I wanted – and my kids have lists a mile long! But as I’ve gotten older, I find it harder to think of only myself and I find myself, instead, I think of the families who are apart during the holidays. Or the moms and dads wondering how to afford Christmas gifts and pay the mortgage at the same time. This holiday season Capital One is hoping to help make the holiday season brighter by granting your wishes for other people.
Capital One wants to hear about your wish for others. Share your wish for someone else – a family member, a friend, a neighbor, or a community — on Twitter, Instagram, or the Capital One Facebook page from Nov. 24 through Dec. 23 for a chance to make it come true. Just make sure to tag your video or picture with the hashtag #WishForOthers. Check out Wish For Others for more information and to learn how to submit your wish.
Check out this video post I put up on Instagram about my #WishForOthers:
December is such a crazy busy month! From the concerts to the parties to all the little things that need to get done, it can be easy to overlook spending quality time with those you love. So my wish for others is that they get to spend more time with friends and family. My kids have a day off of school in December and we’ve already blocked it off for a massive day of cookie baking and treat making! I’ll be back in a few weeks with some fun ideas on how to spend quality time with your loved ones, but here’s my first suggestion – schedule it! Go look through your calendar now and start planning some quality time with friends and family.
So what’s your #WishForOthers? Tell Capital One on social media and see if your whish comes true!
