Watermelon vodka lemonade is the blend of two of summer’s favorite flavors! We double up the watermelon with Midori watermelon liqueur and watermelon vodka for the perfect summer cocktail.

Watermelon Vodka Lemonade

Nothing says summer like watermelon and lemonade.  We’re not huge fans of fresh watermelon in our home. In fact only one out of four us actually likes it. But I do love watermelon flavored anything.

I also love lemonade especially homemade lemonade. It’s not as hard to make as you’d think!

For this summer cocktail, we combined a couple of watermelon alcohols with lemonade. It’s refreshing and full of summer flavors.

Midori Lemonade

The Ingredients

As with most cocktails, this is pretty easy to make. We upped the ante on the watermelon flavor by using Smirnoff watermelon vodka, Midori watermelon liqueur and fresh chunks of watermelon.  Freeze the watermelon cubes to keep the drink cold.

To make the cocktail super easy, skip homemade lemonade and use a powder mix like Country Time.

Easy Watermelon Lemonade Cocktail

The Stir

In a cocktail shaker add melon liqueur, watermelon vodka, prepared lemonade and ice cubes.

Secure the lid of the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 30 seconds.

Strain into a standard rocks glass over ice.  Add some chunks of watermelon for garnish.  Serve the cocktails cold.

These would be great for a pool party or just a refreshing end to a hot summer day.
