When my daughter was young and wanted to paint her nails, I started looking in to water nail polish. There was no way I was putting just any nail polish on her tiny nails! I did a lot of research on water based nail polishes and discovered Piggy Paint – a water nail polish by a mom who was also looking for a safe nail polish for her daughters. That was about 4-5 years ago and we have been Piggy Paint gals ever since!
Piggy Paint claims to be “as natural as mud.” Piggy Paint is a water nail polish that is virtually odorless, hypoallergenic, non-flammable, and free of harsh chemicals: NO formaldehyde, toluene, phthalates, biphenyl A, ethyl acetate or acetone. Piggy Paint also has a bottom and top coat as well as a safe low odor, acetone-free, hypoallergenic and biodegradable nail polish remover.
My daughter is now 6 and I think we have just about every color of the rainbow, plus some, in nail polish. She’s now in to that phase of every single nail being a different color. She’s also pretty insistent about painting her own nails! I have to admit – she does a pretty decent job. Letting her do her nails is my trick to getting her to let me clip her nails and take care of her cuticles.
It used to be really hard to find Piggy Paint in stores in my area so I ordered it on-line. I was super excited, though, to find it in my Walmart store this past December! It is available in select Walmart stores nationwide and also on Walmart.com.
You can also purchase Piggy Paint directly at PiggyPaint.com. Use the code “PiggyFun” and receive 15% off your entire order!
