We are lucky to live in an area where we can grill all year long. Although when my husband lived on the East Coast he swears he never let the snow stop him from cooking on the grill. We pretty much use our grill year round. When we first got married we found an old charcoal grill someone was getting rid of in our apartment community. We snatched it up, but I wasn’t comfortable with getting the coals started. So four years ago we bought a new Propane gas grill so I could also help with the grilling.
Have you ever thought about using your grill for Thanksgiving? We’ve never grilled a turkey, but we grill whole chickens all the time. I’m sure the same process would work for a turkey. Grilling a turkey is a great option to prepare a great main course and free up some oven space for the casseroles, rolls, pies and other goodies that make up the rest of the Thanksgiving meal.

I never thought of doing that! We are liable to have snow, but it could work in warmer areas.
I haven’t thought about grilling a turkey. We do like to grill chickens. Now I wonder if our grill could hold a turkey!
Good point! I bet it’d sit up higher. Although I normally just make a 10-12 lb bird. I bet you could lie it down in a pan and that would work.
I totally love this. Easy, good, and I am sure super tasty! 🙂
Oh YUM!!! I never thought to grill the turkey, but that looks amazing! Everything is better grilled, so yeah, I’d definitely love to give this one a try!
I’ve never thought about grilling our thanksgiving turkey before! Sticking it in the oven is tradition, but grilling would definitely be handy and give me more oven space!
