Want to know the best teacher gifts you can give for Valentine’s Day? A simple, handwritten thank you note will be the highlight of the year for your child’s teachers!
Valentine’s Day is almost here and most of us are planning gifts and cards for our love ones near and far. I think that Valentine’s Day is a great time to give my children’s teachers the best teacher gift they’ll receive all year – a Hallmark Valentine’s Day card with a heartfelt thank you written inside.
My husband has been teaching public school for almost a decade now, which means he’s received his fair share of teacher gifts. While the food gifts have been eaten and the #1 teacher mugs have been retired, my husband still has every single thank you note or card that a student or parent has given him.
I set out to Walmart to see what kinds of cards I could find for my daughter to give her teachers for Valentine’s Day. Don’t overlook the “specialty” teachers your children may have. Aside from her main classroom teacher, my daughter also has a teacher for PE (plus a teachers aide!), art, music, and library. With 6 teachers to buy cards for, those free cards add up quickly!
I found that Hallmark offers packs of Valentine’s Day cards that were generic enough for us to give to teachers. After I bought the cards, I handed them over to Ella to do all the work of addressing and signing the cards. Then I tucked in a little note thanking each teacher for their role in Ella’s life.
