Strawberry Freezer Jam #SundaySupper

  • 2 lbs fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons pectin (NOT INSTANT)
  • 3/4-1 cup white sugar
  • Clean jars or other containers


  1. Put strawberries in a large bowl and mash with a potato masher. You will need 1 1/3 cups total mashed strawberries.
  2. In a medium sauce pan (larger if making a larger batch), stir together strawberries and pectin. Stirring constantly, bring mixture to a full rolling boil that can't be stirred down.
  3. Add sugar and stir to dissolve. Bring mixture to a full boil again and then allow to boil, while stirring, for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  4. Ladle jam in to desired containers and allow to cool for 30 minutes.
  5. Refrigerate and use immediately or freeze for later.
