Spring rolls make the perfect holiday appetizer especially when paired with this delicious cranberry dipping sauce. Thanks to Collective Bias and SeaPak Spring Rolls for sponsoring this post!
At the beginning of the month, I usually sit down and go over my calendar for both work and social obligations and this month there is quite a few of both. That means that if I'm busy working, I don't have the time or energy to spend a lot of time making a holiday appetizer to bring to my parties. That's when I like to cheat a little.
The Ladies Home Journal mentioned SeaPak Spring Rolls as one of the “The 15 Best Frozen Appetizers to Serve at a Party” which was also shared on The Today Show. Sounds like a great recommendation to me! I picked up a box of the spring rolls at Walmart for a test run before the parties start in full swing. The spring rolls come with their own dipping sauce, but I wanted to create a dipping sauce to make a fun holiday appetizer perfect for holiday parties.
We like to dip our spring rolls in a sweeter sauce – usually duck sauce. I happened to have an extra can of jellied cranberries leftover from Thanksgiving, which seemed like it'd make a great sweet dip that goes along with the holidays. It turned out great!
The SeaPak Shrimp Spring Rolls can either be baked or fried. I was a little worried that baking the spring rolls would make them soggy, which is just not a good texture for spring rolls. I shouldn't worried, though, because they turned out nice and crisp.
Ladies Home Journal was right – the spring rolls taste super fresh. They are crispy on the outside and have a nice blend of shrimp and vegetables on the inside. They are also the perfect size for a party finger food. They can be eaten in two bites and aren't greasy at all.
You can check out these delicious spring rolls during the upcoming demo of the SeaPak product at Walmart on December 8th (between 1pm to 5pm) at your local Walmart! Get more recipe inspiration for holiday entertaining by following SeaPak's Pinterest boards, too.
