If you are a dog owner (and you probably are if you’re reading this!) then you know how much your dog loves you. They show you love every day by greeting you at the door; laying at your feet; and hanging out on your bed plus so many other ways. How do you show your love in return?

Three Ways to Show Your Dog Love

Play Time: Our dog Ginger loves to play! She’s 5 years old and is still agile and playful. It’s hard to remember in our busy days that she needs and loves to play.  We don’t have a ton of time everyday to take her to a park, but I can always spare a minute for a game of catch when I’m coming home from somewhere. She loves to catch the ball with one of us whenever we make time to do it.

Grooming: Whether your dog has hair or fur, they need a love TLC and care.  Ginger is a labradoodle and has hair so we take her to the groomer every 6-8 weeks.  There she gets a bath, a trim and her nails manicured.  She’s always excited to come home and show off her new cut. I definitely notice an improvement in her mood when she’s washed and clean.

Treats and Toys: Most dog breeds love toys. Ginger is part poodle and they love toys that make noise. So even though the squeaking drives me a little insane, Ginger always has a new squeak toy.  All dogs love their treats! Of course, you don’t want to overdo it and replace the dog treats with dinner, but a treat now and then is definitely way to show your dog a little love.

We love our dogs because they are more in so many ways and Milk-Bone® loves helping us celebrate! Show them love and use the Milk-Bone® Gifmaker to show how much you love your dog.  Use a 3-5 second video of your pup to make a GIF and then share it on Twitter and Facebook to celebrate the love you have for your four legged friend.
