Sashimi Salmon with Coleslaw

A simple and delicious way to satisfy a sushi craving at home!


  • 1 lb de-boned salmon filet, cut in to 1 inch chunks
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon or 2 limes
  • 1/4 head of cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 Tablespoon dill weed
  • 1-2 Tablespoons grated ginger
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Combine soy sauce, honey, garlic and citrus zest and juice in a bowl.
  2. Put salmon in bowl with marinade and stir to cover. Marinate for 20-30 minutes
  3. In another bowl, combine mayonnaise, ginger, dill weed and salt and pepper.
  4. Add cabbage to mayonnaise mixture and toss to coat.
  5. Place salmon chunks on plate and top with coleslaw. Serve.
