I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Sprint. I received a sample device to facilitate this review and a promotional item to thank me for participating.

Get fit or stay fit with the new Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport from Sprint. Loaded with great fitness apps, this phone will help you stay connected and get moving.

As a Sprint Ambassador I have had the opportunity to try out a variety of phones over the last few months.  We’ve really enjoyed trying out new phones, but this month I received the Samsung Galaxy S 5 Sport phone.  The new Samsung Galaxy S 5 Sport is a collaboration between Samsung, Under Armour and MapMyFitness to help you get more active.  Back in January I started a new routine to get healthier.  We changed our eating and exercising habits and so far I’ve lost over 30 pounds.  The summer, however, was tough.  With the kids and my husband home and the hot weather, exercise took a back seat.  But my Samsung S5 Sport is helping me get back on track.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport is loaded with apps to help you get active!

Sprint Fit LiveSM delivers instant access to favorite health and activity apps from the active wallpaper or the full screen experience to tailor workouts, music and healthy living content to fitness interests and routine.  I’m still working on a playlist on Spotify, which comes with out ads on the phone, to get me moving.

S Health™1, an integrated mobile health platform to access health info, maps out your workouts and can help you make healthier eating choices. It even measure your heart rate when touching the back of Galaxy S 5 Sport.  I love that I can keep track of my heart rate while I’m working out to know if I need to kick it up or slow down.

MapMyFitness uses GPS to track all fitness activities, and records workout details, including duration, distance, pace, speed, elevation, calories burned and route traveled on an interactive map.  I’ve been using this app to track my pace and distance when I walk.  It’s helping me gauge if I’m making any progress.

Aside from the fitness apps, one of my favorite things about the Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport is the clarity of the phone calls.  The Samsung Galax S5 is equipped with HD Voice, virtually eliminating background noise and sound quality is dramatically enhanced on a call between two Sprint HD Voice-enabled devices on upgraded areas of the Sprint network.  No more asking people to repeat themselves over and and over because I can’t hear them.

I’ve been so happy with the Samsung Galaxy S5 sport that I’m seriously considering making it my main cell phone. With all of it’s great features, this is a great phone to help me stay active.
