Join us as we take the Purina One 28 Day Challenge with our dog!

As you know, we adopted our very first dog in January.  Ginger is a 1 year old labradoodle, which means she sits still for about 3 seconds at a time.  Ginger’s previous owners were older and possibly had dementia so they had a hard time keeping up with our active girl.  We were a little concerned about Ginger’s weight as she is pretty thin and the vet said she could gain a few pounds.  But finding a dog food that Ginger likes has been a challenge.  So I was game to try Purina One’s 28 Day Challenge to see if Ginger liked the food and it would help her get a little healthier.

Ginger is a picky eater.  She gets fed twice a day – once in the morning and once in the evening.  Often, though, I’ll find her breakfast still in her food dish at dinner time.  I feel bad because I want her to enjoy the food we’re giving her.  Before starting the Purine One 28 Day Challenge, we’d already tried two different dog foods with the same indifference.  She was pretty excited when I hauled in the big of Purina One for her! I guess she already knew she was going to love it.

So what is the challenge? You just feed your dog Purina One for 28 days and see what changes you notice.  I’m hoping Ginger puts on a little bit of weight and enjoys her meals more.  I have to say, that so far – so good!

Ginger is inhaling the Purina One food we got her.  She’s eating all of her meals immediately, which is a huge change from her usual sniffing of the bowl and walking away.  You can register on the Purina One website and get a $3 off coupon, too.

An empty bowl! That’s the first time in the almost 6 months we’ve had her that she finished her meal in one feeding.  I’m excited to see what other changes we notice in the next 28 days with Purina One.
