My kids love to play dress up.  In fact, most days find my 5 year old daughter “dressed” for the day in something other than her own clothing.  She wears everything from her own holiday dresses to her sisters clothes to, of course, costumes.  They really love costumes!   I don't mind getting them costumes to play with, but I really hate spending money on a costume that doesn't hold up to the wear and tear of daily dress up.

When I was given the opportunity try out a girls costume from Wholesale Costume Club, I was pretty excited to see what fun costumes I could find.   Wholesale Costume Club has just about any girls costume you can imagine — even some nice historical and patriotic options.  We already have a lot of princess and fairy costumes, as well as several from Star Wars.   My daughter is really in to “The Avengers” and comic book heroes right now so I decided to see what girls costumes I could find along those lines.  I was happy to discover girls costumes for Black Widow (I didn't really want black spandex, though!),   Wonder Woman and SuperGirl.  I ended up choosing Super Girl.

This costume is amazing!  It is so well put together.  After a week of pretty much constant wear (yes, even to bed) , it is not fraying or coming apart at all.  I love all the little details like the cape, the boot shoe covers and the gold belt.   My daughter adores this costume!  I can't get her out of it and she has spent every day “flying” around the house “saving” her brother, dolls, stuffed animals and whoever else needs help!  And if you saw a pint sized Super Girl at a Las Vegas Costco last week, that was us!

Wholesale Costume Club's prices are pretty reasonable for the quality of the costumes and they even have a clearance section you can check out.  These are definitely not the cheap costumes you'll find at the Halloween store in October.  I don't mind spending a little more to get better quality that will last!

Wholesale Costume Club is offering a Growing Up Gabel reader a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to their site!  Just come back in July for our “Christmas in July” giveaway event!
