I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Sprint. I received product samples to facilitate my review.
The school year is officially in full swing and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed with how well we’re doing. We’ve managed to get all papers back and forth to school on time and the homework folder has only been left at school once. Not too bad! Of course, having coordinated calendars on our cell phones has really helped my husband and I stay in sync and organized. For the past few weeks, we’ve been trying out the Motorola MotoX cell phone for the past few weeks. We are new to the Android 4.2 based operating system so we were a little nervous about using the MotoX but the transition was a simple one and we absolutely love this phone!
From the outside, the phone design fulfills all modern expectations. The aesthetic design of the phone is very attractive with many color options. I love how light the phone is – the last thing I need is something else to weight down my purse! The screen size and vivid display is impressive and very easy on our mid-life eyes.
This phone possesses unique technological options that impressed both me and my husband. In fact, I had a hard time getting him to actually let me use the phone so I could try it out. My husband really loved the Touchless Control option. Once your phone is on simply say “OK Google” and search for whatever you need on the web. I love the 10 megapixel rear facing camera LED flash! That’s one of the best cell phone cameras available.
One of my favorite features of the MotoX are the Motorola Spotlight Stories. The spotlight stories are digital content like interactive animated shorts that are automatically delivered to the Motorola device. We got the the app “Windy Day” and it blew me away (ha ha)!
Depending on how you hold your phone, what angle your phone is angled at within a 360 degree radius all around you up, down, left, right or anywhere in between, this technology is an experience unlike anything out there. My kids had a ball playing with the app and my husband and I may have giggled over it a little, too.
An equally impressive app to use with the MotoX is The fitbit health monitoring system. The fitbit is a device that is worn on your wrist while monitoring how many steps you take, distance covered, calorie intake, and your sleep pattern. My husband has been wearing the fitbit since it arrived and loves it. I really appreciate the alarm clock feature that vibrates his wristband. Set weight loss goals and the fitbit will help you achieve it. The fitbit flex is available at Sprint! When purchased at Sprint, you’ll have unlimited data – which makes it convenient to sync your fit bit data on-the-go as often as you want without worrying about overages on your wireless bill.
Wow, the MotoX feature sounds incredibly useful. It really vibrates as an alarm? Technology never ceases to amaze me. Very cool!
Love the health monitoring system. I don’ think I have ever seen anything like that before. I have to admit, I love playing with my phone!
It seems like everyone’s getting a fitbit these days. I may have to, too, especially knowing now how easily it syncs to a smartphone (I have an Android, too). Thanks for the recommendation!
I think they Fitbit would be a great Christmas gift!
That looks awesome…I want one
We are so impressed with it!
I have no experience with android devices, but that sounds really cool! I’ve also heard a lot about the fitbit from my fitness friends, and I love the idea of it.
I’d tried Android on other phones, but couldn’t get it. The MotoX was easy to navigate, though. If I was going Android, I’d definitely get this one.
Thanks for the info, I am growing unhappy with my current service and would consider changing after 10 years. Now that I can see how many bars I am not getting since their last upgrade, i am not happy!
mitch
10 years! That’s a committed customer. Sorry to hear it’s not working out. That’s so frustrating.
As someone without a smartphone I’m always amazed to hear about things like this that they can do. Very cool!
They are cool! I just got my first smart phone in April and I have to admit, I’m not sure what I did without one. But I totally get not having one!
What an awesome phone! I love the little animated shorts that are delivered to your phone! Those would be a lot of fun!
Even my mom had fun with it the other day! LOL
I want that Fitbit!! Very cool phone and this is the first I have read about it. Thanks!
We’d never looked in to them, either, but they are really neat! I think it helps you stay motivated to keep moving and reach your goal.
this seems like a great phone, I am in the market for a new phone, I will have to check this out, thanks.
