I grew up in a family with three girls. My sisters and I are 3 years apart from start to finish. When I married my husband, I gained my first daughter and a few years later another daughter came along. So two years later when our son was born, I had no idea what to expect. When our now 5 year old little boy saw a billboard for Monster Jam XV and exclaimed he wanted to go, I had no idea what to expect. It turns out that Monster Jam is a fun event for the entire family.
Monster Jam is a multi-day event and we were given tickets from US Family Guide for Friday and Saturday. Our tickets covered the “Pit Party” on both days in the afternoon and two different shows at night. Friday night my husband and son took my dad to the show on Friday night. The show that night was basically a race to see who could drive around a dirt track the fastest. There were multiple heats until a winner was crowned.
My husband and son headed back to Monster Jam on Saturday afternoon to check out the Pit Party. This is really a highlight of the weekend and is a must see. The drivers and their trucks are available for meet and greets and will sign autographs. There are also other events going on like an auction, a Hot Wheels play area, and of course plenty of food and vendors.
Saturday night’s event is the freestyle where the trucks do stunts and tricks. The track is entirely different than the Friday night race. Each driver does his or her best to show off their driving skills to win the event.
I really had no idea what to expect from the Monster Jam but now we can’t wait to go again next year! Monster Jam is definitely a fun event the whole family will enjoy.
