Like most kids, my children love cereal for breakfast. They will pick cereal for breakfast every single morning and since they are eating cereal, I eat cereal. And of course, the kids have their favorite cereals so that’s what we always have in the pantry. In can get a little boring!
That’s why I love this Cereal Freestyle Tip from Team Kellogg’s. I had never thought to mix and match our cereals to create our personalized bowls of breakfast. I decided to give it a try with our favorite Kellogg’s cereals to see what combinations we liked best.
Kellogg’s Special K and Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes: My kids love Frosted Flakes! So much that they’ll gobble up an entire box in a day or two if I let them. So I decided to mix in some Special K to make the Frosted Flakes last longer – and they didn’t even notice. As you can see above, the two cereals kind of meld together so it’s hard to tell which is which.
Kellogg’s Crispix and Kellogg’s Shredded Mini-Wheats Crunch: Crispix are one of my favorite cereals and I love it all on it’s own. But adding in Shredded Mini-Wheats Crunch took it over the top! This was my favorite mix up. My son asked for a bite and ended up finishing bowl. The next day he asked if he could have that “cereal mix up” I had made for him the day before. I couldn’t believe he remembered. I’d say the Cereal Freestyle was a hit with my family.
The possibilities are endless with the Cereal Freestyle and this tip definitely made me look at the cereal aisle differently.
It’s your turn to think outside the cereal box – what Kellogg’s cereals would you mix together for your personalized bowl?
