Make laundry easy for kids with new Gain Flings! Kids can help with the never ending laundry pile thanks to no mess, no measuring Gain Flings – because little things go a long way!

laundry

A few years ago I wrote a post about 5 Chores for a 5 Year Old.  At the time it had occurred to me that my 5 year old daughter was more than capable of helping me with little chores around the house and her help went a long way.  Let's face it, one of the never ending tasks most moms face is the laundry pile.  So one of my daughter's chores was to help fold laundry.   She was only able to do a little bit of folding, but it's the little things that make life easier.

That just turned 5 year old is now heading on 8 years old and she's slowly been given more responsibility around the house.  Now that she's finally tall enough to reach over the top of the washing machine,  she can finally help with doing the laundry.  But our biggest hurdle has been the big, heavy bottle of laundry detergent and struggling to not use too much soap (or the entire bottle!). And then I was sent a sample of Gain Flings (which are also available at your nearest Target store) and I knew we had our answer.

The Gain Flings are so easy to use.  You start the water in the machine, and just toss the fling in as the water fills up.  Done! No measuring.  No heavy lifting. Just a little pod that makes life easier.  Now, I wouldn't let a young child use these alone because P&G doesn't recommend the product be used by children.  Use your discretion.  I did supervise my daughter the entire time she was helping with the laundry.

My daughter thinks the flings are too cool. She loves that they are purple and have hearts on the front of the package (of course!) so she's more than happy to help with the laundry under my supervision.

Gain Flings contain 50% more scent plus Oxi boost plus Febreze so I know they can keep up with all of our cloth napkins, rags and little boy clothing.  The Gain Flings also come in two scents so you can choose which you prefer for your laundry.  And the fact that I now have an official laundry helper is another little thing that definitely goes a long way.

I didn’t know that gain had pods now! I knew some of the really expensive brands of laundry detergents had pods out that seemed so convenient but I just couldn’t justify the cost. We love Gain because it works well but is affordable so its a great overall value- I’ll have to keep an eye out so we can try these too.

Don’t you love it when your favorite brand comes out with a new product you love, too?!

I LOVE these packs that you can just toss in. My kids love to help me so this makes it simple for me to trust they will not add to much to to little. They are hubby proof too ;).

Oh yes they are hubby proof! And any way I can get an extra hand in doing a load of laundry is well worth it.

It really doesn’t get much easier than that, does it? Just fling it in and go! I really love those things!

Right?! And they take up a lot less space in my laundry room, too!

My husband loves the individual “servings” of laundry detergent like that! I haven’t smelled that one, I’m curious about the scent.

It smells like spring! Our dog got lice (I know, eww!) so I had to wash ALL of our bedding this weekend and I used the Gain Flings. You really smell it when the laundry comes out of the dryer! They all smell so fresh and pretty now.
