Fun kid kebabs prove that everything is better on a stick! Simply thread healthy fruits, vegetables, and meats on to a skewer for a quick and easy lunch every kid will love.
Ah, lunch time, my least favorite time of day. After making breakfast, doing the school drop off, working out, showering and getting dressed, it’s suddenly time to figure out what is for lunch – and the breakfast dishes aren’t even done yet! During the school year I have one child who takes a lunch, but I still have a half-day Kindergartner this year who will require lunch every day.
My goal is to always make enough dinner the night before so that we have enough for lunch the next day, but that doesn’t always work out. So I’m often left scrambling to find something to eat for lunch. It dawned on me one day that my son will eat anything on a stick and so I made these fun kid kebabs for him for lunch. All I did was to skewer some fruit with chunks of turkey. If I’d put all that on his plate, he wouldn’t have eaten it, but kebabs are fun!
My kids drink water 99% of the time, but every once in a while I let them drink something else. Usually it’s when we are on the go but in this case, I let my little guy try out Vita Coco for Kids.
Vita Coco Kids, a coconut water just for kids, is a nice alternative to your typical juice box. Vita Coco Kids is free of artificial colors, sweeteners, flavors and preservatives. I love the ingredient list because I could pronounce every single ingredient. I was surprised to learn that Vita Coco for Kids also has electrolytes, which helps rehydrate kids. Our son played soccer for the first time ever this summer – in July, in Vegas. It was hot and Vita Coco Kids would be perfect for him to drink during and after his games.
Make sure to check out Pandora in August and September to check out the “Vita Coco Kids Family Hits” station!
