Introducing Izzy

I never really thought of myself as a dog person.  Growing up we had a few pets here and there like fish, gerbils and a rabbit.  We didn’t have the traditional cat or dog.  One of the first things I did when I graduated from college was to adopt a pet. I chose a cat because they seemed like less work.  Since then, we’ve only had cats.

And then last year my sister rescued a 1 year old Golden Doodle named Izzy.  I still didn’t think I was much of a dog person. Izzy was pretty hyper and jumped up on anyone who walked in the door.  Plus there’s that whole scooping the poop issue. But this past summer we agreed to dog sit Izzy for 6 weeks while my sister traveled… and I am no a dog, well at least an Izzy, person.  While Izzy still technically resides with my sister for most of the time, she spends a few days and nights with us every week.

I’m relatively new to the world of dog food, but over the next month, Izzy’s going to be trying ALPO’s ® wet dog food line.  I was checking out the food on ALPO’S HOMEPAGE and was glad to see that only the finest quality ingredients are used in products like Chop House Filet Mignon and T-Bone Steak.  Izzy loves food so I’m guessing she’s not going to be complaining about those for dinnner!  Make sure to check back next month to see what Izzy thought of her new dinner choices!

How fun! She was named after the literary/operatic Isolde (and had a brother named Tristan). 🙂

  • […] Last week I introduced you to my furry “neice,” Izzy.  As I mentioned, Izzy is my sister’s dog but she often stays with us during the day or overnight when my sister is busy with work.  This summer Izzy spent almost two months living with us and my kids were not happy when she went home.  We love our Izzy girl!
