How to Fit A Bra Properly

I mentioned earlier this month that for the next few months, I am a Vanity Fair Ambassador.  In July I went to New York to learn everything I could about bras, how they fit and Vanity Fair products.  I’ve now been wearing Vanity Fair products for about a month and I am in love!  I’ve never been particular about brands when it came to wearing bras and panties, but Vanity Fair has changed my mind. While I was in New York,  Vanity Fair taught me how a bra should fit properly.

Beauty Back Bra with Lace

About 80% of women don’t know if they wearing the right size bra. So how do you know if yours fits correctly? First, you should be able to fit two fingers under the band and the straps.  The cups should be full and the center should sit front and flush to the chest.  For the best fit, you should be able wear the bra on the middle hook.  The bra is providing maximum lift when breasts are sitting between the shoulders and elbows.  You shouldn’t be able to feel the bra at all.  New bras should be purchased about 3 times each year.  I know I’m not the only one with bras that have seen better days in her drawer.

Beauty Back Back Smoother Bra

I can say without a doubt that my Vanity Fair Beauty Back Back Smoother bras meet all of the above criteria.  I have tried for years to wear an underwire bra.  I knew that the wireless bras I was wearing were not providing the best support and I was looking a little droopy.  But every single wire bra I tried on was absolute torture to wear. I hated them and swore them off.  So I was quite shocked to discover that the Beauty Back bra was comfortable.  It provides amazing support and I feel beautiful in it.

One of my favorite things about Vanity Fair bras and panties is the assortment of colors available in all sizes. The teal color is called Mermaid Teal and I just love it.  I also love that Vanity Fair products are available at one of my favorite places to shop – Kohls.  I would suggest going in to the store to try on different sizes and styles to find the one you love best and then checking online to find the best selection of colors and prints in different sizes.  Vanity Fair covers a wide range of sizes from 34-44 and cup sizes from B-DDD.  I’m not exactly a small size and I love that I have found a bra I love that is available is so many gorgeous styles and colors.  Vanity Fair bras retail for about $40, which is a great price for a bra. But wait for a sale and add in coupons, and you get a beautiful that offers amazing support for a very affordable price.

Hi Camille! I can definitely relate to finding a bra that fits well! Your article reminded me that I need to
get fitted again. None of my bra’s fit right without a bra extender. I found a few brands that do smooth the back and are comfortable but do not have underwire, which I think I need.

I didn’t think I needed on either. Actually, I didn’t care because I hated wearing them so much. But now I actually want to wear one. It’s crazy that I went all these years and it was just a matter of finding the right bra! Vanity Fair will be hosting fittings – and an amazing sale – this fall in major retailers. I’ll have all the details posted in a few weeks.
