These chicken wings are baked in the oven. You can cook the wings however you like. An air fryer does a great job cooking crisp chicken wings.
Honey Mustard Chicken Wings Ingredients:
- Chicken wings
- Salt and pepper
- Butter
- Garlic
- Honey
- Dijon mustard
- Hot sauce (optional)
Cook the Chicken Wings:
Place the top oven rack in the center position and pre-heat the oven to 425°F. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a baking mat. Set aside.
Add the chicken wings to the baking sheet in a single layer, not touching or overcrowding. Season wings with salt and black pepper, to taste, before placing them in the preheated oven. These are also sprinkled with a little bit of paprika. Bake until skin is crispy, approximately 45-50 minutes.
Make Honey Mustard Chicken Wing Sauce:
While the wings are baking, make the honey mustard sauce. This recipe makes just under 1 cup of sauce. If you like a lot of sauce on your wings, you will want to double the recipe.
Melt the butter in a small saucepan and heat over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until garlic softens, approximately 1-2 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and add honey and Dijon mustard. Whisk gently to combine. Simmer for a few minutes, until honey dissolves completely. Remove from heat and stir in hot sauce, if using. Set aside.
Toss the Chicken in the Honey Mustard Sauce
Remove the baking sheet from the oven and transfer the wings to a large glass bowl. Pour the honey-mustard mixture on top and toss to combine.
Serve immediately or place coated wings on a large, rimmed baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and place under a hot broiler for 1-2 minutes, or until brown and bubbly.
