Have fun during March Madness by hosting  family basketball tournament brackets! Just print out our free basketball bracket printable, bake up a basketball cake and enjoy a little fun family competition.

 

I have been filling out a basketball tournament bracket for the NCAA basketball tournament since middle school. My dad would bring home blank basketball brackets and everyone in the family would fill them out for a little competition. The winner got choose dinner one night. It didn’t matter that we had no idea what team was what. We had a fun family event every March.

A couple of years ago I decided it was time to get our kids in to March Madness. My husband is more of a fanatic than I am and spends hours filling out his tournament brackets. I wanted a cute bracket to use for our family because everything is better if it’s cute. I’m lucky to be friends with Brandie at Home Cooking Memories. Aside from creating amazing recipes, Brandie is also a whiz with design and she whipped up these adorable brackets for me.  I love them!

Just print one out for each member of your family. Then check online for the school selection in early March.  Have everyone fill out their brackets before the first day of games.  Cross off each team as they lose and circle each team as they win.  Everyone gets 1 point per team (for a tie break). Whoever chooses the winner of the tournament gets whatever prize you want. We let the winner choose a place for dinner out. In case of a tie, just count up the number of winning teams each person picked for the winner.
