Create lifelong memories and give your teen an experience gift this Christmas!

This post was sponsored by the Invisalign® brand and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

Do you remember the days when Christmas shopping for your kids was easy? It seems to be around the age of 10 when Christmas shopping for your kids suddenly becomes harder.  They have had 10 years worth of  receiving toys for Christmas. Suddenly, toys are not quite as appealing and they really just are not sure what they really want for Christmas.

This year, give your tween or teen an experience gift. Not only does this save a lot of clutter in your house, but it creates a lifelong memory you’ll both treasure for years to come.

5 Experience Gifts for Teens

Learn Something New: One more thing to add to your already busy life? Well, yes, but for a good reason. Sign your teen up for a class or sport they have been begging you to take. Better yet, take the class together. You can also find a book that you can use to learn a new skill and do it together. Ella loves Shakespeare and this one of our favorites to do together.

Travel Somewhere New: If your family loves to travel, then take a trip together. It doesn’t have to be over Christmas. Instead, wrap up a map or a book about the place you are heading to on a later date. If you are feeling adventurous, surprise them with a trip the day after Christmas.

See Something New: Buy tickets to a concert, musical, art exhibit or sporting event. Buy enough for the entire family to go. Season passes to a local amusement or water park for the whole family will create months of fun together.

Get Something New: When we learned that our daughter, Ella, would need braces to fix her overbite, we did not jump in with both feet. But Ella was all in and knew she wanted Invisalign® clear aligners. She wanted her smile fixed immediately. And thanks to a partnership with Invisalign® clear aligners, Ella started her treatment in May.

This is Ella when we first went in for a consultation with the orthodontist. Ella is 7 months into her Invisalign® aligner treatment. She still has another 4 months of treatments to go.  We opted to go with Invisalign® aligners because they are the most advanced clear aligners in the world. Plus only Invisalign® aligners are made with SmartTrack® material for a better fit, greater comfort, and more predictable tooth movement.* No one can even tell Ella is wearing the aligners and she loves that.

*compared to aligners made from off-the-shelf, single layer .030in material.

Once she is finished with treatment, Ella’s smile will look like the photo on the right of this screen. I can’t think of a better gift to give your teen for Christmas than a new smile! Try the Smile Assessment to see if Invisalign® brand aligners would make a great fit for you teen for Christmas.

Do Something New: Go do something new together as a family or just you and your teen. Take your family on an outing to an Escape Room. Try out a climbing wall gym. Go roller skating or skiing. Find a tea room and go have high tea together. As long as it is something you have never done before together, it’s fair game.

This Christmas instead of adding clutter to your home, give your teen, and yourself, an experience gift that will create memories and change your life together.

If you’re looking for a gift that keeps on giving for your tween/teen this holiday season, consider giving them the gift of a new smile with Invisalign aligners. Get them started by completing a smile assessment or find a doctor near you in time for the New Year.
