Last year we bought our family season passes to a local water park and it was one of the best gifts we’ve ever given. We spent time together as a family and enjoyed a water park all summer long. Watch for steep discounts on season passes during the end of the year, too, and get a bargain.
Legoland Discovery Centers: Buy tickets for a one day visit or, better yet, grab season passes for fun all year long. There are 18 different locations world wide so this would be great for any ex-pat friends, too.
SeaWorld and SeaWorld Parks: SeaWorld is one of our favorite theme parks! Plan a trip or get a season pass. SeaWorld parsk include Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove, Sesame Place (great for the pre-school crowd!), Aquatica; and Adventure Island.

Darden Restaurants: I LOVE these gift cards that can be used at any of Darden’s restaurant chains which which includes Seasons 52, Yard House, LongHorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster.
