Last year we bought our family season passes to a local water park and it was one of the best gifts we’ve ever given. We spent time together as a family and enjoyed a water park all summer long. Watch for steep discounts on season passes during the end of the year, too, and get a bargain.

Legoland Discovery Centers: Buy tickets for a one day visit or, better yet, grab season passes for fun all year long. There are 18 different locations world wide so this would be great for any ex-pat friends, too.

SeaWorld and SeaWorld Parks: SeaWorld is one of our favorite theme parks! Plan a trip or get a season pass. SeaWorld parsk include Busch GardensDiscovery CoveSesame Place (great for the pre-school crowd!), Aquatica; and Adventure Island.

Who doesn’t love food as a gift? Restaurant gift cards are a great addition to any ticket purchase or on their own for a night. Throw in some baby-sitting for a Date Night for a special couple on your list.

Darden Restaurants: I LOVE these gift cards that can be used at any of Darden’s restaurant chains which which includes Seasons 52, Yard House, LongHorn Steakhouse, Olive Garden, and Red Lobster.  Most of the restaurants on are local eateries so it’s fun to try out something new for a discount. You can get gift cards or just buy a deal to give away.

Sometimes it’s just nice to learn a new skill or language. These gifts are online courses or websites that can be gifted.

Rocket Languages is a great way to give the gift of a new language! This is great for anyone who is traveling in the upcoming year. They also have classes for American Sign Language. is one of my kids favorite online game sites – and it’s educational! Giving a kid the gift of an online membership is a great way to give them a gift they will love that won’t add more clutter to your house.

Craftsy offers online crafting classes including classes in sewing, knitting, crochet, baking and more. Craftsy also offers gift cards so the recipient can choose a class or even a craft kit.
