Well, it's just about that time of the year when families welcome their Elf on the Shelf for another fun Christmas. I have resisted an Elf on the Shelf for the past few years, but I think it's time to finally cave and let my kids have their very own Elf.  What better way to introduce kids to Elf on the Shelf than by setting up this beautiful tablescape while they sleep and let them wake up to a fun breakfast Elf on the Shelf welcome party.

Elf on the Shelf fun

You can use this tablescape as a point to leap from and create your own using items you already own in your Christmas boxes. Or create something entirely new with supplies from online or even the dollar store.  Either way – have fun and create a unique table special to your family.

Supplies:
Red & White Christmas Chevron Wrapping Paper
4 White Plastic Plates
White Plastic Tablecloth
4 Red & White Striped Plates
4 Small Glassware
Silverware
Red Bubble Gum Balls
Peppermint Candy Canes
Hot Chocolate On A Stick Dessert
Small Clip-on Chalkboards (for name setting)

Red & White Paper Straws
Elf on the Shelf
Red Lanterns {Ikea}
Red & Green Christmas Cones { Hobby Lobby}
Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas Jar {Hobby Lobby}
Christmas Countdown Blocks {Hobby Lobby}
Christmas Crafts Green Christmas Trees
Red Cloth Napkins
Assorted Candy, such as Twizzlers, Smarties, Christmas Candy
Small Red & White Chalkboard Sign

Direction:

Elf on the Shelf Idea arrival

Lay out a white plastic or red plastic tablecloth. Next, roll out the Chevron Red & White Christmas Wrapping paper on top of the tablecloth.

Elf on the Shelf Breakfast

Once the paper is down, set out the place settings.  Place a plastic white plate at each setting then set a paper red & white striped plate on top of each white plate.  Add silverware, followed by glassware on the left side of each place setting.

Set a red cloth or paper napkin to the right of each plate.  Add a little clip-on chalkboard to each napkin to write the kids names on their place setting.

Fill each glass with red bubble gum balls.

Set the red and green Christmas cones in the center of the table.  Add the red lanterns in between each cone.

At the end of the table, set up the Elf on the Shelf Box, Christmas craft green Christmas trees, assorted candy and Christmas decorations.

Finish this off with finding a cute spot for your Elf, and a fun dessert- Hot Chocolate On A Stick!

    We have had elves visiting our house for years now and my kids love it! I usually keep their arrival pretty simple, but this is a really cute idea. I love your decorations and that chevron paper really pulls it together.

    Last year was the first I ever heard of the elf on the shelf, my daughter was doing it with her kids. After the kids were in bed she got this little elf out and spread some flour on the counter then laid the elf in the flour and made a snow angel. I though she had flipped and asked what are you doing! That’s when I learned all about the elf in the shelf (-; I wish the grandkids lived nearby I would love to join in the fun.
