Need Easter basket ideas for boys?Check out this fun Marvel Avengers themed Easter basket perfect for your little super hero.
Is it just me or does Easter feel like it’s coming up super fast this year? Maybe it’s just that life seems to move faster every year. What I do know is that my kids are growing up quickly. I’m trying my best to embrace these last few years of childhood before adolescence sets in. Easter is one of those times. Each year I do something completely different with the kids Easter baskets. This year I decided to do themed baskets for the kids.
I headed to Walmart to get some ideas for basket themes. There are so many options like Disney Princess, Sophia, or Star Wars. Since the new movie is releasing this summer, I decided to go with Marvel Avengers for my 6 year old son.
Growing up we used the same Easter baskets every year. I tried for about 2 years to store baskets for Easter and they just took up too much space. I’m kind of a minimalist and storing a bunch of bulky baskets to use for 1 day every year drove me crazy. So every year I get creative and find unique “basket” for the kids. Since I’m doing themes this year, I picked up this Avengers “basket”.
My kids are flying out to Michigan this summer to visit family (without us – yay!). I planned ahead and picked up toys that are portable and can be used on a plane. The Avenger figures (top right) will fit right inside the little tin lunch box (bottom right). I love magnetic toys for travel (top left). The fillable Iron Man masks are for candy and other small treats. I also picked up an Avengers kite because the kids love them.
I used yellow grass to match the bucket. I always put the tall items in the back of the basket. Part of the fun of an Easter basket is digging in the grass for goodies so I tucked in the Iron Man masks. I put the tin box and the figures on top of Iron Man.
My kids love playing dress up outside with the neighbors. I topped the whole thing off with a Captain America mask. I was out of space in the basket so I used the head strap to put it around the outside of the box. I love how it turned out and I know my Marvel Avengers fan is going to be thrilled to find this basket on Easter morning.
