This week marks my husband and my 10th wedding anniversary. When I met my husband I was in my mid-twenties and pretty much all of my close friends were married. I had quite the collection of brides maid dresses! I felt a little lost because my plan had been to go to college and get married right after, but that hadn't happened. So instead I enrolled in law school so I could get a “real” job and save the world.
I met my husband midway through my 2nd year in law school. He was newly divorced and still hurting from that broken relationship. I was looking for a long term relationship and he was looking for a 5 year plan before even mentioning the word marriage. I was pretty sure that when we parted ways that summer, I'd never see him again.
So imagine my surprise, after a very tearful summer, when he proposed that August. I don't think I've ever seen a happier person than he was on our wedding day! I was just glad to have it be done with after planning a wedding and dealing with my 3rd year of law school.
I can definitely relate to Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story. Blank is a sweet story of love and friendship as Blank, an unpainted Vinylmation, embarks on an epic adventure to find his lost soul mate. A 38 minute stop-motion animated film, Blank is available exclusively on Google Play, Google’s online store offering digital movies, books, music, apps, games and more. You can download the movie for free and watch it right on your computer, phone, or tablet through the Google Play Movies & TV app available for both Android and Apple users. Check out a sweet little preview below:
To celebrate the premiere, Google is also inviting fans to share frames from the film with friends and family as digital greeting cards at blankmovie.withgoogle.com. After sharing a frame, guests can unlock a second special film, “Cranes in Love,” created especially for Google users.
So tell me – how did you meet your spouse or significant other? I'd love to read your love stories in the comments!
