So we all know that a regular date night is great for your marriage, but finding a babysitter can be tough. This week my husband and I celebrate 10 years of marriage. One way we’ve tried to focus on “us” is to keep a regular date night. We always start off with great intentions to set aside time for ourselves every week, but finding a babysitter is always an obstacle. But no more! We’ve discovered Kids Quest and date night is no longer canceled.
Living in Vegas, I’d seen Kids Quest at a number of different casinos but always thought they were for tourists, not locals. Plus I just wasn’t sure about leaving my kids at an hourly child care center in a casino. Then my neighbor mentioned that they always used Kids Quest for date nights and I was intrigued. We were eager to try them out.
We visited the Kids Quest at Santa Fe Station Casino, but there are several other locations at Station Casinos in Las Vegas. My husband and I planned to drop the kids off and have dinner at the cafe in the casino (which we love!). I was surprised to learn that we didn’t actually have to stay on property. We were free to leave the property. I had set up an account online before we arrived so checking in was a breeze. Kids Quest offers a snack bar and we were able to set a limit on how much the kids could spend and even limit what they could or could not get.
Kids Quest offered so many activities for the kids from a huge play structure to a karaoke stage complete with dress up. They had a gym with basketball and other games. They also offered various video game consoles and an iPad station. There was no end to the play available and after 2 hours, my kids did not want to leave!
The one thing that impressed me most about Kids Quest was when I asked my kids their favorite part of their visit. They both responded that they loved “the ladies.” It can be scary to leave your kids with adults you don’t know and kids are pretty discerning. The fact that my kids felt taken care of by the amazing staff at Kids Quest means we’ll be back for regular date nights!
