This easy candy garland is a fun to use as a Christmas Countdown Calendar. Simple supplies are turned in to a tasty and decorative Christmas Countdown
Starting the day after Thanksgiving, my kids starting asking how many more days until Christmas. It drives me a little nuts so every year we try to do something fun to count down the days until Christmas. I usually start on December 1st. This year I decided to make a candy garland as our Christmas Countdown.
To make the candy garland you will need 25 pieces of your favorite HERSHEY’S® candy, plastic wrap, and some type of ribbon, yarn or string. I used Hershey Kisses, but I wish I would have picked up some holiday REESE’S® peanut butter cup miniatures. I think the fun holiday colors would have looked great through the plastic wrap. Plus right now with HERSHEY’S® Holiday Savings you can save up to $2.50 on two 8oz. bags of HERSHEY’S®, KISSES®, REESE’S® or ROLOS® candy at CVS. You can make a fun candy garland for everyone on your list!
The candy garland is super easy to make. Roll out roughly 52 inches of plastic wrap. Line up the candy just slightly off center of the plastic wrap.
Fold the plastic wrap over the candy once and then gently roll in to a tub of sorts.
Tie a 3″ piece of ribbon, yarn or string between each candy. Make sure to double knot it! I just did single knots and the ribbon fell off.
You are all set to do a Christmas Countdown with your candy garland!
