Chicken nuggets, french fries, and a dipping sauce are one of my kids’ favorite meals. Tyson has combined the nuggets and fries to get Tyson Chicken Fries making for a quick, kid friendly meal! I took it one step further and re-created a secret dipping sauce from one of our favorite restaurants. You and your kids will love it!
I’ve said it before, and I’m sure I’ll say it again, but lunch is such a drag for me to make. I feel like I’ve just finished cleaning up breakfast when it’s time to start lunch and dinner is staring me down already. So I really prefer something quick and easy, and I’ll admit it, sometimes frozen, for lunch.
Have you ever heard of chicken fries? My kids are chicken nugget connoisseurs and my daughter’s favorite food is french fries. So when we saw a Tyson Chicken Fries demo at Sam’s Club, it didn’t take much to get them to try them. We picked up a bag to take home and try.
I loved how the package was divided in to two different bags. This way I can keep one nicely sealed in the freezer.
The chicken fries are microwavable for a super quick lunch, but I don’t own a microwave (by choice!). I love the way stoneware gives food a nice crispy outside so I baked the chicken fries on a stoneware baking sheet. Twelve minutes later we had lunch!
While the chicken fries were baking I decided to try and recreate a dipping sauce from one of our favorite restaurants. The restaurant only serves chicken fingers and fries and the kids love their secret dipping sauce. I could tell that the sauce had mayo, ketchup, and pepper in it, but I couldn’t place the other flavor. After a little research on-line and some taste testing I realized it was garlic. No wonder we like the sauce so much. I couldn’t figure out how to describe the flavor of the sauce to name it, but trust me, you will love it!
He’s the “dipper” in the family and he was so excited to have his favorite dipping sauce to dip the chicken fries in.
She’s not a fan of the sauce, but LOVED the chicken fries. We took the second package with us to a friends house for lunch. Five kids ranging in age from 4 to 9 devoured just about the entire package. To say that they liked them would be an understatement. They talked about the chicken fries for the rest of the day!
His sister got up to get a drink and he tried to sneak some extra chicken fries from her plate!
