This cherry limeade vodka cocktail recipe combines two ingredients to make an easy, refreshing cocktail for your summer evenings on the patio.

I don’t know about you all, but one flavor that has screamed, “Summer” to me since childhood is that FLA VOR ICE freezer pop flavor. You know the ones that come in little plastic tubes that you freeze? I loved those.
The cherry ones in particular had an interesting taste. Not quite cherry. It took me well into adulthood, and a few sips of a Cherry Lime Smirnoff Ice, to figure out why. The cherry freezer pops, apparently, taste more like cherry lime than anything else.
What better way to replicate that taste than with hard liquor? 😛
I’m going to be honest here, this drink was a TOTAL accident. I was out of tequila, but I had margarita mix and cherry vodka. So I mixed them together. Boom! New cocktail.
How much liquor you want is totally up to you, so I divided it into parts to make it easier to adjust. I use my shot glasses to measure mixed drinks, and my shot glasses are 2 ounces each.
The cherry vodka cocktail consists of 2 ounces of vodka and 6 ounces of margarita mix. Yours can differ. You might even prefer more vodka. Most of my cocktail recipes are pretty much just guidelines rather than rules.
As for ice? Eh, it’s totally up to you!
Anyway, this was AMAZING. It became one of my favorite drinks, because I constantly have vodka around. I’m considering even mixing it up a bit and using the strawberry lime margarita mix. Maybe mix that with pineapple vodka or something. Oh, the possibilities!
Also, who doesn’t love an easy drink? Most of the time, I don’t even measure this out and it still tastes great. But I measured for you, because I care. 😛

Cherry Limeade Vodka Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 part Smirnoff cherry vodka
- 3 parts Joe Cuervo lime margarita mix
- maraschino cherries, for garnish
- lime, for garnish
Instructions
- Put 5-6 cherries in the bottom of a glass.
- Pour vodka over the cherries.
- Mix in margarita mix. Give it a light stir to combine.
- Add a lime to the glass as garnish, or cut them into circles and let them float on top of the drink.
- Serve and enjoy!
