This delicious instant caramel macchiato recipe is provided courtesy of a shopper insight campaign through Collective Bias. Just a few simple ingredients will make an easy meal for back to school morning for both mom and the kids.
Just over a week from now we will be heading out for our first day of school. I’m trying to prepare as much as I can for the big day. I’m a little concerned about breakfast. When we homeschooled, we took our time with breakfast and had it whenever we were hungry. But this year, we need to actually be out of the house at the same time everyday so the lazy breakfasts will have to go. Of course, the one thing that won’t go is my coffee.
I love sweet, flavored coffees. The more girly it is, the more I like it. But I rarely have the time or the budget to get a fancy coffee house coffee so I make them at home. Now I need a quick option to get my sweet coffee on the go in an instant. Enter Nescafe and Caramel Macchiato Coffee-Mate Liquid Coffee Creamer. I came to love Nescafe when I worked for a travel company after college. I traveled all over the middle east where they serve either Turkish coffee or Nescafe. I love both but Nescafe is a lot easier to make!
For this fun easy meal, I simply made a cup of Nescafe according to the directions on the back and then added the Coffee-Mate creamer to taste. So quick, easy and it tasted delicious! Although I was kind of irritated that I’d forgotten to get whipped cream when I went shopping for my ingredients. You can check out more on my shopping trip in my Google+ album.
My kids assume that because I have coffee every morning, they should also have coffee every morning. I’m not kidding – they ask me for coffee every single morning! So I decided to make a kid-friendly Caramel Macchiato. I picked up some Carnation Breakfast Essentials Powder Drink Mix instead of the Nescafe for them.
I made a cup of the breakfast essentials according to package directions and added a bit of the Caramel Macchiato Coffee-Mate Creamer. They love it! And they were thrilled to have their own coffee in their to go cups. Look for more delicious breakfast ideas by following the hashtags #BTSideas and #cbias!
I love how simple and inexpensive this is compared to a stop at a coffee shop! I totally love the “kid coffee” idea too! Mine are always begging for my coffee-this is a perfect alternative!
Thanks Camille. Have a super-duper weekend!
Thanks, Liz – you too!
I think this is a great recipe for kids and mommy. I would have never though this can be done with instant coffee.
This sounds delicious, I love coffee and caramel, so I know I would love this Macchiato!
That looks so delicious!
Now I cant wait for my morning coffee!
thanks,
Mitch
What a clever idea for the kids! I agree. With products like these, it is easy to pass on the coffee shop coffees and make something tasty at home. Mmm… now I want another cup of coffee.
