Orange Cake Mix Cookies

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet or two with parchment paper.  This is an easy dump and mix cookie recipe.

Put the cake mix, oil, eggs and orange extract into a large mixing bowl.

Use a mixing spoon and mix until combined well. You can also mix the dough in a stand mixer.

Form the cookie dough into balls using a 1 tablespoon portion scoop. Scoop into balls and roll between your palms. Generously coat each ball with powdered sugar. Keeping the cookies a uniform size and shape helps them all bake evenly.

Place the sugar coated orange cookie balls on the prepared baking sheets. You will need to use a few baking sheets and alternate them. Try not to put the raw cookie dough on a hot baking sheet. The cookies will start cooking immediately. Use cooled cookie sheets to bake the batches of cookies.

Bake cookies in the preheated oven for for 9-11 minutes. The cookies will form a pretty crinkle appearance as they bake.

Let the cake mix cookies cool for 2 minutes before removing them from the baking sheet to a cooling rack to completely cool.

Store the cookies in an air tight container to keep them fresh.
