Enjoy a romantic date night at home with these romantic recipes and Breyers Gelato Indulgences!
My husband surprised me last weekend with a very romantic date night at a very nice restaurant. We hadn’t been out on that nice of a date in probably three or four years. Life is busy and so we usually squeeze in time for a date night at home. We feed the kids and send them off to bed a little early (they LOVE that!) and then make a special meal for ourselves. We set the table with our nicest dishes, add some candles and soft music and it’s a date night in. But what to serve on that date night in? I put together a list of over 35 romantic recipes perfect for date nights at home. Check them out and don’t forget to see my secret dessert idea.

I bet you thought I forgot about dessert. But, nope, I didn’t! After all that prepping and cooking for a delicious date night at home, I take the easy rout when it comes to dessert – one container of Breyers Gelato Indulgences and two spoons. That is, if we can agree on a flavor.
Breyers Gelato Indulgences come in 4 delicious flavors:
- Breyers Gelato Indulgences Vanilla Caramel features creamy vanilla gelato topped with luscious caramel sauce and gourmet caramelly curls
- Breyers Gelato Indulgences Raspberry Cheesecake features cheesecake gelato topped with luscious raspberry sauce and gourmet graham crumble
- Breyers Gelato Indulgences Tiramisu features mascarpone gelato topped with espresso sauce, ladyfinger cookie pieces and sprinkled with gourmet cocoa
- Breyers Gelato Indulgences Triple Chocolate features milk chocolate and dark chocolate gelatos topped with white chocolate sauce and chocolatey curls
My favorite is the Tiramisu and my husband loves the Triple Chocolate. The lady who checked me out at the grocery store when I was buying the gelato told me her boyfriend is absolutely crazy for the Raspberry Cheesecake. At only about $5/container you can definitely try them all!

Thanks Camille. Have a Wonderful Weekend!
Those recipes all look and sound amazing. We don’t do date night all that often at home (what do you do with the kids?) but maybe we should give it a try more often. It has to be cheaper than eating out.
Thanks so much for featuring our Crock-pot Lobster Bisque recipe 🙂
We put the kids to bed! 🙂 Then I just cook later than usual for us. It’s getting harder to do that as the kids get older, though. So now they might just watch a movie upstairs so we can have some quiet.
What an awesome post, Camille!! I can’t wait to try that Gelato and some of these recipes! Thanks for including me!
Thanks for great recipe, Jen!
Oh man, so many good ideas and it just happens to be Date night in my house! Thank you for including my coconut steak and peach wine cocktail! Pinned!
