Enjoy a date night at Applebees'® Neigborhood Grill +Bar restaurant and help raise money to fight against childhood cancer with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

Like most parents, date night is one of the highlights of my week – or month – depending on the time of year. Since it's summer, date nights happen pretty much weekly. And we pretty much always end up going out to dinner at the same two restaurants. So when we had the opportunity to head to Applebee's® Neighborhood Grill + Bar restaurant on date night to help raise money for a great charity, we were more than happy to get out our routine to help.

Applebee's restaurants nationwide have teamed up with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in a month-long fundraising campaign. Now through Sunday, August 12, more than 1,050 participating restaurants have a goal to raise $1 million to help fund cutting-edge childhood cancer medical research and family support programs.

Applebee's restaurants have partnered with ALSF since the Foundation started in 2005.  Through this partnership, Applebee's restaurants have raised more than $8.2 million to help keep Alex Scott’s mission of finding cures for childhood cancers alive.

So how can your date night with your sweetie help? Well, first, set aside the night and head to Applebee's.  We highly recommend Happy Hour!

Order a Lemonade Quencher made with real fruit or other frozen or flavored Lemonade refreshment to have a portion of the proceeds donated.  I ordered a peach frozen lemonade, which my husband loved so much he drank most of it!

We also tried a classic lemonade which was perfect for a summer date night.

You can also purchasing a lemon-shaped pin-up cards in $1 and $5 increments.

If you donate $5 you will receive a thank you card entitling them to a free lemonade or free kid’s meal during their next visit, or $5 off $25 at Applebee’s restaurants or online orders, from August 12, 2018 through September 30, 2018.

Our Applebee's restaurant had a lemonade stand in the lobby where they hung guests' lemon donation cards. We were happy to join the display.

You can also participate in local events such as lemonade stands, golf tournaments, donation nights and more. Visit applebees.com/alexslemonade to learn more, donate directly online or find a local restaurant near you.
