Give a gift that gives back with one of these unique gifts from World Vision’s 2016 Gift Catalog!

About 7 years ago I attended a Christian women’s conference with a group of friends. At that conference I had the opportunity to hear Rich Stearns, the CEO of World Vision, speak about the organization he was leading.  World Vision is a global Christian humanitarian organization which partners with children, families, and their communities to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.

That day I chose to sponsor a young girl named Merry who lives in the Philippines. Every month since we have sent a donation to help Merry and her village with things like housing, education, water, agriculture and more.  We have written back and forth to Merry consistently for years.

Last month World Vision informed us that Merry’s village was doing well enough to become independent. They no longer needed our help! While we were sad to learn that we’d no longer be supporting Merry, it was such a joy to know that our small monthly contribution helped an entire village of people rise up out of poverty.

World Vision is one of my favorite charities to support.  Every year since 1996 World Vision has offered a wonderful opportunity to give gifts that truly make a difference through their World Vision Catalog.

The 2016 World Vision Gift Catalog contains more than 250 poverty-fighting gifts  that improve the quality of life for struggling children and families in the U.S. and around the world.
